Alcatel One Touch announces Pop 2 line with five screen sizes

Though most of the IFA announcements are done and dusted, Alcatel One Touch elected to wait until most of the noise died down before announcing its own new devices. The company announced a new smartphone and tablet yesterday afternoon and today, Alcatel One Touch is unveiling an entire family of devices called Pop 2.

In total, the Pop 2 line has five panel sizes, which includes last month’s Pop 8S (below), an 8-inch tablet with LTE. The Pop 8S is an entry-level tablet, and is complemented by a 4-inch, 4.5-inch, 5-inch, and 5.5-inch phones.alcatelonetouchpop8s

Alcatel One Touch has packaged the Pop 2 smartphone in four different sizes, each one powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor. Unfortunately Alcatel One Touch isn’t exactly forthcoming with the rest of the details regarding the Pop 2 line, so we have no idea of any of the other specifications.

What we do know is that the 4.5-inch and 5-inch models will apparently be “premium” versions made with “sleeker, premium” materials. We also know that the Pop 2 line has swappable back covers so you can change your cover out for a new colour depending on your mood. We’ll try and hunt down some more significant specifications for you guys.
