Facebook Messenger update allows you to draw on your photos

Facebook has spent the last few months booting users off the main messaging service in its app and forcing them to download the standalone Messenger version. Now, the social network is doing a little tweaking.

The newest version of Facebook Messenger, released on Friday, gives users the ability to draw or type messages on photos they’re sending from the gallery. So, sort of like Snapchat, except you photos don’t disappear once they’ve been viewed. To draw on a picture, just tap the icon, scroll through the camera roll to find the photo you want to share, and tap either the little pen or ‘Aa’ icon.
