Canadians, start saving your toonies! BlackBerry has sent out an invitation for the unveiling of a new Porsche Design smartphone on September 17th.
BlackBerry notes, “Iconic Style meets Effortless Productivity! Look forward to a reunion with the famous keyboard. Join us to celebrate the launch of the next iconic product from Porsche Design and BlackBerry. Experience the luxury of being one step ahead.”
The Porsche Design P’9983, which has leaked extensively over the past few months, is a follow-up to the P’9982 from last year. The high-end BlackBerry will sport a custom leather backing, BlackBerry 10.3, a 3.1-inch touchscreen 720×720 display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a 2100 mAh removable battery, an 8MP camera that captures 1080p HD videos, a 2MP front-facing camera, and LTE connectivity.
The P’9983 will retail for approximately $2,000 (CDN).
BlackBerry is also preparing itself to officially launch the BlackBerry Passport on September 24th, then the BlackBerry Classic in November.
