Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will come to Canada in 2015

Samsung Canada has confirmed that its innovative Galaxy Note Edge, with a curved 160 pixel extension to the right side of the screen, will come to Canada early next year.

Paul Brannen, Samsung Canada’s VP of Mobile, confirmed to the Canadian Press that the company plans to release it up here, but needs to make some adjustments to the baseband stack to ensure it is compatible with carrier aggregation, a tenet of the new LTE-Advanced spec that allows for two intra- or interband carrier channels to be combined into a single downlink signal.

No word on pricing or carrier availability, but from what we learned at the launch event, Samsung plans to position the Galaxy Note Edge as its flagship Note product, and will likely price it higher than the Note 4.
