TELUS to donate $5 for every download of We365 social activism app

This time last year, TELUS partnered with youth organization Free The Children for the launch of an application that encourages young Canadians to effect positive change through good deeds and social activism.

This year, TELUS is expanding upon that effort. The carrier announced that it will be donating $5 for every download of We365 between now and the end of November. The company plans to donate $5 for 25,000 downloads between now and November 30 for a total of $125,000.

We365 aims to introduce kids to causes that are important to them and offers the ability to share the word on social media, engage in daily challenges to make a difference, electronically track volunteer activities for school and scholarship programs, and allows kids to fundraise for thousands of different Canadian charities. It’s also approved for use by children by PTPA (Parent Tested Parent Approved), though children under 13 do need parental permission to use the app.

Download We365 for iOS, Android, or BlackBerry 10.
