iOS 8.1 now available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

As promised, iOS 8.1 has been released for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Apple’s newest release offers bug fixes galore, and brings access to iCloud Photo Library, as well as SMS support for iPad and Mac through Continuity.

The update also brings the option to select between 2G, 3G and LTE data for cellular networks. Other features include the ability for HealthKit apps to access data behind the scenes, and the return of Camera Roll for accounts without iCloud Photo Library.

iOS 8.1 also fixes WiFi issues iPhone and iPad users were experiencing with iOS 8.0 to 8.0.2.

Of course, the biggest addition, Apple Pay, doesn’t work in Canada.

The download is around 127MB for users upgrading from iOS 8.0.2. The update is available for iPhone 4s and above, iPad 2 and above and iPod touch 5th gen.
