Algoriddim’s djay 2 app comes to Android with Spotify integration

djay 2 for Android

Algoriddim’s popular Mac and iOS music app has been a favourite of professional and aspiring DJs alike. The company has now brought djay 2 to the Google Play and Amazon app stores, giving Android-based music makers desktop quality music playback and real-time mixing.

Featuring a skeuomorphic design that mimics a physical turntable setup, djay 2 takes advantage of its digital nature, heavily integrating Spotify for mixing and playback without the need for Spotify’s app to be installed (all songs are streamed into djay directly). Coming with a free 7-day trial of Spotify Premium, djay 2 also uses Spotify’s recommendation algorithms to recommend tracks that will favourably beat-match with music currently being played – unnecessary for professionals, but a great learning tool for amateurs.

djay 2 costs $2.99 and is available now at the source link below.
