Google confirms Lollipop is now rolling out to “most” Nexus users

It’s the day users have been waiting for since Google officially unveiled Android Lollipop last month: Google has announced that the latest version of Android is now rolling out to users rocking Nexus-branded smartphones and tablets.

Word comes via the official Android Twitter account where Google on Thursday declared, “Dessert is served.”

“#AndroidLollipop rollout has started and will soon be available on most #Nexus devices.”

The ‘most,’ of course, refers to the fact that not every Nexus device will be receiving the update to Android 5.0. Google previously said that the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2012), and Nexus 7 (2013) will all be getting the Lollipop treatment.

If you’re running a smartphone that is older than the Nexus 4, you’re out of luck (though you’ll still get to enjoy all that Material Design goodness through app updates).
