Rogers to release the Samsung Galaxy Alpha in white

Samsung Galaxy Alpha review

The Galaxy Alpha is widely available at several Canadian carriers, including Bell, Virgin, SaskTel, TELUS, Videotron and Rogers. While only Bell and Virgin have ventured beyond black by offering white and gold, we’ve been informed that Rogers will soon release the Alpha in white. The price point is the same at $0 on a 2-year term or $700 no-term.

The LTE-enabled Galaxy Alpha has a brushed aluminum frame, runs Android 4.4.4 with a 4.7-inch 1280×720 Super AMOLED display, a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and a 1860mAh removable battery.

Reports surfaced yesterday that Samsung will reportedly remove Galaxy Alpha from its lineup and replace it with smartphones with scaled back specs and a more competitive price point to avoid cannibalizing sales of its flagship Galaxy lineup.
