Apple seeds iOS 8.2 iPhone beta to developers, shows hints of “Apple Watch app”

Apple Watch

Apple has seeded the fourth beta version of iOS 8.2 (build 12D5461b) to its developer community, or anyone with access to a developer account. The software is compatible for users who have the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini, iPad (third generation), iPad 2, and also iPod touch (fifth gen).

Much of this update focuses on WatchKit features and shows instructions within the Bluetooth menu that reveals Apple’s intentions to release a standalone app called “Apple Watch app.” This will presumably allow Watch owners to download apps onto the watch.

Apple Watch is expected to be available in March. As for the Apple Watch coming to Canada, previous reports indicated that it would not be an official launch country when it’s initially released.
