Project Ara

Google is going to be showing off some cool stuff at its second Project Ara developers conference today, starting at 8am PT / 11am ET.

The company is livestreaming all the goodness from Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, and will be talking about all the new modules being developed by companies like Nvidia and Marvell, among others, as well as a product roadmap for the MDK (Module Developer Kit) shipping soon.

For the uninitiated, Project Ara is from Google’s experimental ATAP department, and is developing modular smartphone technology that will allow users to hotswap components like cameras, batteries and more.
