Amazon Kindle Unlimited brings all-you-can-read ebooks to Canada for $9.99

There is no shortage of places to buy books online, but what if you read more than the average bear? While Canadians already have accessed to the Netflix model for magazines, Amazon is attempting to quench the thirst of voracious readers with a similar plan for ebooks.

Kindle Unlimited, launched last July in the U.S., allows subscribers to download and read up to 750,000 titles across Amazon’s extensive ebook library for $9.99 CDN per month.

The selection is good, if not great depending on your preference, with all seven Harry Potter books, all three Hunger Games books, and plenty of romance and sci-fi novels. You’ll find some big name titles, like Michael Chabon’s ‘Wonder Boys’, but with no major publishers on board, the pickings are quite slim at times.

Check out all the details at Amazon, which is discounting its Kindle ereader line by $15-20 depending on the model until Valentine’s Day.
