Tangerine rolls out option for customers to e-Sign documents on mobile devices

Tangerine, formerly ING Direct Canada, has added another feature to its mobile banking arsenal. The bank recently rolled out Touch ID supportĀ and voiceĀ banking to its iOS app and though this latest addition is not revolutionary by any means, the convenience is certainly welcome.

In partnership with Silanis, Tangerine has enabled e-Signing, or more commonly known as Mobile Signature Capture, on mobile devices. This allows customers to use a digitized handwritten signature on various contracts and agreements. TheĀ arrival of e-Signing removes the need to print, scan, mail, or fax documents to your local branch. Tangerine notes e-Signature is available to those customers want to transfer their TFSA, RSP or RIF from another financial institution.
