Cyanogen and maker of email app Boxer today announced that the next version of Cyanogen Inc’s custom Android ROM will ship with Boxer as the default email experience. As part of the deal, Boxer will make up a customized version of its application that better fits in with the Cyanogen OS user interface.
Outside of the custom Cyanogen-flavoured skin, the app will feature all the same features Boxer users have come to love, including integrated task management as well as access to Evernote, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and other services from within your inbox.
Boxer users can also further customize their email experience with personalized left and right swipe actions, notification sounds, account colours for LED notifications, and custom folders.
Boxer debuted on Android last September and will ship on Cyanogen OS 12 when it becomes available in the coming weeks.
