BlackBerry announces the Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite

BlackBerry recently announced plans to launch three more devices in 2015 on top of the recently-announced Leap, including a follow-up to the QWERTY-wielding Classic, a dual-curved keyboard slider, and another partnership with Porsche Design, dubbed Keian.

Before all this comes to fruition, BlackBerry will release the Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite, an additional option to the forged stainless steel Porsche Design P’9983 that BlackBerry announced in September. BlackBerry noted the P’9983 Graphite is made from the “highest quality materials” and comes with “exclusive graphite-metallic coloured elements and the finest, hand-wrapped leather on the back door cover.”

Ron Louks, President of Devices and Emerging Solutions at BlackBerry, said, “The P’9983 Graphite from BlackBerry was built especially for those who strive for success every day. This professional tool will deliver superior productivity, ultimate security and privacy as well as effective communication and collaboration.”

The Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite will be available “in the coming weeks” from Porsche Design stores for about $2150 (CDN).
