Google adds custom snooze option to Inbox

Inbox

Google has updated its Inbox email app to allow users to set custom snooze times.

With this new update, telling Inbox to snooze an email to, say, 7:30am will bring up a prompt that asks the user if they would like to set 7:30 as their regular morning snooze time. In the that same ways users can also set afternoon and evening snooze times, and the app will remember them all.

Of course, those that would like to set their snooze times before reading any emails can do so by simply going into the app’s settings menu.

According to the company’s Gmail blog, the ability to set custom snooze times was one of the most requested features from Inbox users. The blog also says that other frequently requested features will be implemented soon.

“We hope these small improvements help you tackle your email faster and get back to what matters,” says Vijay Umapathy, a product manager at Google and the author of the blog post. “In the meantime, we’re also working to add easier access to delete as well as signature support in Inbox, two features you’ve told us you want. So stay tuned!”
