LastPass gets Material Design update, Premium subscription free for new S6 and S6 Edge owners

LastPass on Android has been given a Material Design facelift.

As with many other apps designed using Google’s Material Design principles, LastPass now has a floating action button on the bottom right corner of the screen. Clicking this button gives the user the option to add a new site, secure note or a form fill profile.

Also on the design front, the company says it has polished the look and feel of the app by simplifying the colour palette the app uses and by introducing more white space.

Of course, as with any update, there are also additional bug fixes and stability improvements under the hood.

To celebrate the update, LastPass has partnered with Samsung to give new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge owners a one-year subscription to the app. This offer can be taken advantage of by visiting the Samsung Galaxy Apps store.

Those that are already subscribed to the service will get their current subscription extended by a year.
