Samsung Galaxy S4 Lollipop update begins rolling out to Canadians

Samsung has begun rolling out Android 5.0.1 Lollipop to Galaxy S4 users in Canada.

We’ve begun hearing from customers on various carriers that the update is hitting devices with Android 5.0.1, bringing a new suite of apps guided by Google’s Material Design.

The new build, I337MVLUGOC4, appears to be available for Bell, Telus, Virgin Mobile, Koodo, and SaskTel customers. We’ll update this post with more information, including a release date for Rogers Galaxy S4 customers. This update comes after the Galaxy Note 3, Note 4, and Galaxy S5 have already received Lollipop.

Update: Rogers customers are now reporting the update to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop is now available to download.

Update #2: Videotron users can now upgrade the GS4 to Lollipop. Press Menu > Settings > About Device > Software Update > Update.
