Outlook for Android leaves preview

Outlook for iOS and Android

Microsoft has officially removed the preview tag from Outlook for Android.

Launched in January, Outlook for Android received 17 updates while in preview. That’s more than one update per week, and the former Acompli team says they’re not done yet.

“Outlook is an example of Office’s new development model for building mobile apps—deliver a great first version of our apps and then iterate quickly with the help and feedback of our users,” says the team’s blog post. “This removal from preview is not a change in that plan or a statement that we are ‘done.'”

While in preview, the Android version of Outlook received several significant feature updates, including an improved contact view, IMAP support, customizable gestures, directory search and a three day calendar view.

Microsoft is encouraging Outlook users to continue sharing their feedback by going to the app and navigating to Settings > Help > Contact Support.
