Periscope saw 1 million users within first 10 days

Periscope

During Twitter’s Q1 2015 investor call, CEO Dick Costolo said that one million users download Periscope within its first 10 days of availability. The app, which launched on March 26th, benefited from a big push by Twitter and its 302 million monthly users. Periscope is currently only available on the iPhone, with an Android version in the works.

However, rival Meerkat is not letting Twitter take all the glory. The company recently received a whopping $14 million in funding to expand its service with new features. The last public number of downloads was at 120,000 after three weeks in market. Meerkat is available on iOS and on Android in beta.
