BBM for Windows Phone adds Channels support

BlackBerry has updated its BBM app for Windows Phone with a feature that its other platforms, namely iOS, Android and BB10, have been enjoying for some time.

Channels, the social networking aspect to BBM, is now available on every platform supported by the company, allowing users and brands to interact with one another. Channels has been a primary revenue driver for BBM, which John Chen has singled out as a way to earn up to $100 million every year in additional services revenue, along with stickers, custom PINs and a number of security-related BBM features.
