Rogers bolsters entry-level Android lineup with Moto E LTE

The Moto E LTE (2015), which is a huge improvement over the original released last year, is coming to Rogers.

Canada’s largest carrier is set to offer the newest Motorola device for free on a 2-year contract, and $149.99 with no term.

The device, which we reviewed in April, features a 4.5-inch 540 x 960 pixel display, a 1.2Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable with microSD, a 5MP rear camera, 3.7MP front-facing camera, and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. An update to Android 5.1 is scheduled for later this summer. Of course, one of the core tenets of the 2015 update to the Moto E is LTE support, which helps justify its presence on Rogers store shelves.

The Moto E LTE is already available on Telus, Koodo, Chatr, Wind Mobile, MTS, and Videotron. The Moto E LTE will be launching at Rogers on July 15th.
