Rogers experiencing network outage and mainly impacting several provinces [Update]

Rogers has taken to Twitter to inform its customers that it’s currently experiencing an issue with calls, texts and data.

The service disruption, which is impacting both Rogers and Fido customers, seems to have started yesterday just before 1:00pm with intermittent service ever since. According to CanadianOutages, a service that provides details about carrier outages, shows the main issues are located in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.

Rogers latest tweet stated, “We continue to be experiencing issues with calls and sms. We apologize and are working to resolve asap.”

Update: Quebec customers are also reporting network issues.

Update #2: Rogers notes that “Service is restoring. We thank you for your patience and expect all service to be back to normal shortly.”

Update #3: Rogers says: “Call/Text service has been restored. We sincerely appreciate your patience.”
