YouTube rids itself of “301+” views, welcomes up-to-date view counts

Seeing “301+” views on YouTube is a thing of the past. The Google-owned video service announced today that it will start showing more up to date view counts from “real people” as they are recorded.

YouTube content creators seem to be pleased with this update and have taken to Twitter—and YouTube—to express their gratitude, stating things like “you guys are really improving lately” and “YOU GUYS MADE MY DAY.”
