LG has created a rollable Bluetooth keyboard called Rolly

One of the ongoing concerns about Bluetooth keyboards is that they are bulky to carry around every day for the off-chance of using it for a few minutes.

LG claims to have the answer, as it has announced the Rolly Keyboard, which actually rolls up. The Rolly is a Bluetooth 3.0 keyboard that is divided into four rows and rolls up into a “stick,” which LG says it’s easy to carry around in your pocket, purse or a briefcase.

Rolly is made of impact-resistant and durable polycarbonate, ABS plastic, and the keys are 17mm in size. Located at the back is a fold-out stand that can hold an iPad or Android-powered tablet. LG states Rolly is powered by one AAA battery that promises “up to 3 months of average use.”

“LG Rolly Keyboard is just one of the many premium input devices we’ll be unveiling in the coming months as we expand our accessories offerings. The goal was to create a product that could add more value to LG smartphones and tablets at the same time offering a unique design proposition that hadn’t been explored before,” said LG in its press release.

The Rolly Keyboard will be available in September in the United States, with rollouts to other “key markets” in Q4. No word on pricing.
