
Back in April, Uber positioned a kiosk in downtown Toronto that acted as a breathalyzer and called it UberSafe. The goal was to have people take a breathalyzer test to see if they registered above the legal blood-alcohol level. If they did, an Uber car would quickly arrive and take them to their destination for free.
Now that the back-to-school season is upon us, Uber has brought back UberSafe to three Ontario locations. Uber noted that they want “students to know that Uber makes getting a safe ride home easier than ever.”
London: Wednesday, September 9th – 10pm at Barking Frog
Hamilton: Friday, September 11th – 10pm at Seventy Seven
Waterloo: Saturday, September 12th – 3pm at Frosh Circus
Uber recently announced that it’s now seeing over one million Uber rides across Canada every month. The ride-sharing service is available in several cities, including Toronto, Montreal, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, Guelph, Ottawa, and Halifax.
