Jiffy on Demand aims to ease the pain of home maintenance for Torontonians with new iOS app

With services like Uber and Hurrier quickly becoming household names with their on-demand offerings, it seemed only fitting that the home maintenance space would have arrived.

Enter Jiffy on Demand, or “Jiffy” as they prefer to be called, a scrappy mid-town Toronto-based start-up that is personally hand-picking tradespeople from various industries and connecting them with the home owners who so desperately need a quick fix. The app is currently available on iOS and works in a similar fashion as to other on-demand apps on the market.

“When you’re looking for people to provide simple home services, it’s time consuming to read dozens of reviews figure out complicated pricing and play telephone tag with companies to schedule appointments,” says Paul Arlin, co-founder of Jiffy. “We’ve pre-vetted every company on our platform, and they all follow our easy to understand, industry average pricing. Ultimately, this means customers have peace of mind that they are getting great service for a fair price, without taking up half of their day.”

Jiffy is now servicing customers in the Greater Toronto Area, with plans for expansion in early 2016 to other major cities. The app is on iOS with plans for an Android app in the coming months.
