Chromecast’s iOS app just got a much-needed face lift and a variety of new features. The latest version of the app adds new “What’s On” and “Get Apps” tabs, fleshing out its once barren user interface.
What’s On is focused on giving people popular trending content suggestions related to apps already installed on the user’s device. And the app’s other new feature, Get Apps, is designed to show off various Chomecast-enabled apps people are able to download. A new search feature, allowing users to easily find movies and television shows in Chromecast compatible apps, has also been added.
Chromecast’s Android app was updated with a similar visual overhaul and new features a few weeks ago.
