BlackBerry Priv shipping date slips to week of November 9

BlackBerry loyalists are waiting for November 6th, the date that the company’s Android-powered Priv is officially set to go on sale. The 5.4-inch slider is currently available for pre-order on BlackBerry’s online store for $899.99 CAD unlocked. The smartphone is also set to come to Bell, Telus, Rogers, SaskTel, Eastlink and Wind Mobile for $399.99 on-contract or $799.99 outright.

The Priv will first arrive in Canada, United States, and the UK this Friday, with Hong Kong, Netherlands, and Germany following shortly after.

BlackBerry’s Priv was originally scheduled to ship on Friday, November 6th, but due to what BlackBerry is calling “unforeseen circumstances,” the device will only begin shipping the week of November 9th.

As previously reported, the Priv has a 5.4-inch QHD display, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 18 megapixel camera with dual tone flash, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 3,410mAh battery, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with added security features such as DTEK.
