You have to hand it Carl Pei and the rest of the OnePlus marketing team: when it comes to sales gimmicks, the company seemingly has no end of ideas.
On Monday morning, OnePlus announced a new sales promotion. Starting this week, every Tuesday interested consumers will be able to buy the OnePlus X without an invite. The company did not state how long it intends to run this promotion. Presumably, the intention here is to eventually phase out invites for the One Plus X.
Earlier in the month, OnePlus began allowing consumers to purchase the OnePlus 2, its 2015 flagship, without an invite.
Update: The OnePlus X is now available for Canadians to order sans an invite. The price is $329 CAD (Shipping not included).
