BlackBerry teases an announcement about the Priv’s Marshmallow update

While it’s probably not the news Priv owners were hoping for, BlackBerry today announced that it will reveal when it intends to update the Priv to Android Marshmallow sometime later this quarter.

BlackBerry executive Ron Louks made the announcement during the company’s keynote presentation at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also noted BlackBerry will have news to share regarding a bunch of new third-party accessories in a couple of weeks, as well.

With Mobile World Congress set to go down in late February, that seems as a good time as any for an announcement to be made.
