Skype adds group video calling to iOS, Android and Windows 10 Mobile app

It’s been ten years since Skype added video calling to its popular voice calling and chat app.

To commemorate the milestone, the company is adding group video calling, a feature that’s been available on its desktop app for sometime now, to its suite of mobile apps. Group video calling on mobile isn’t available for primetime just yet; Skype is looking for users to test the feature out before it rolls out the functionality to everyone. When it does arrive, however, group video calling will be available on Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile.

According to the company, in the past ten years Skype users have used video calling to chat for more than 2-trillion minutes. To put that number in perspective, the company says it’s possible for a single person to read a book to every child in the world for 10 hours in that same amount of time.
