Password manager Dashlane gets a beautiful new UI and new features to better compete with 1Password and LastPass

Dashlane 4.0

Given our physical proximity to 1Password developer AgileBits, we’ve long championed the Toronto-made password manager, but the fact of the matter is that there are a lot of great options out there for easily managing online personal security, especially after today.

This morning, Dashlane, one of the best password managers available on Android, received a significant update.

Now at version 4.0, the most notable improvement here is that Dashlane has been redesigned to feature a constituent visual language across all the platforms it’s available on — Mac and PC, as well as iOS and Android. For those who don’t speak English or French, there’s an additional bit of good news, the app now natively supports five additional languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese and Italian.

One of Dashlane’s marquee features has also seen significant improvement. Password Changer, the part of Dashlane that allows users to change an online password right from the app, now supports an additional 300 sites across the web, bringing its supported total to 500.

Download Dashlane from the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. Accompanying desktop clients are available from the company’s website. Dashlane is free to use on a single device. However, syncing your login credentials across multiple devices requires buying into Dashlane’s premium subscription plan, which costs $39.99 per year.
