Microsoft Lumia 650 rumoured to be announced February 1

Lumia 640 XL

Microsoft unveiled its first Windows 10 Mobile devices — the Lumia 950, Lumia 950XL and Lumia 550 — on October 6th. Canadian carriers opted not to offer the smartphones, all of which are available only through Microsoft Canada’s online store.

According to Windows Central, the Lumia 650 will be announced on February 1st through Microsoft’s official blog, along with specs and pricing.

As for the technical specifications, the mid-range Lumia 650 is expected to have a 5-inch 720p display, be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 212 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

It’s unclear whether the Lumia 650 will be supported by Canadian carriers or just be available unlocked through Microsoft’s online store. The Lumia 650 is a follow-up to the Lumia 640, which was announced at last year’s MWC show in Barcelona.
