Microsoft is bringing a one-handed keyboard to iOS

Lumia 950

Microsoft’s well-received Windows 10 Mobile keyboard is being adapted for iOS, according to The Verge.

Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans told the publication that the keyboard is currently being tested within the company, and that a beta version will make its way out to public testers soon.

Microsoft has been lauded for developing one of the best virtual keyboards, which is currently available on Windows 10 Mobile. While the iOS version reportedly contains similar features to its Windows Mobile counterpart, it will have at least one unique trait: a new one-handed fanned interface not available on in the Windows 10 Mobile version of the app.

Other features like swipe input, emojis and word suggestions remain intact in the iOS version. Apple users can expect to be able to try out the keyboard at some point in the near future. An Android version set to follow soon after.
