Snapchat just made it easier to add contacts to your friend list

Snapchat has always suffered from one major issue: adding new contacts is a chore.

Before today, the only way to add a new contact was through a friends ‘BooR’ code (which is a cumbersome process), or by searching for a specific user name, a sometimes difficult task. Now, however, Snapchat has solved this problem by quietly adding a variety of new features in its latest server side update.

Snapchat users can now create a personalized URL, allowing them to easily add new friends to their contact list. To access Snapchat’s new share menu, swipe down from the top of the screen, select ‘Add Friends, and then ‘Share Username.’

While a minor change, this shift solves one of Snapchat’s most significant problems and will likely be a welcome addition for most users.

The update is available on both iOS and Android.
