The next iPhone could be called the ‘iPhone SE’

Next month is when Apple is expected to announce its new 4-inch iPhone. Latest rumours have pointed towards this upcoming iOS smartphone to be called the “iPhone 5se,” with the ‘se’ naming scheme being ‘special edition.’

However, according to sources at 9to5Mac, Apple will reportedly drop the “5” from its marketing and simply release the upcoming entry-level as the “iPhone SE.”

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone SE on March 18th.

The iPhone SE is rumoured to have a 4-inch screen and will feature a design more in-line with the iPhone 6 series, as well as Apple’s updated A9 processor.

Update: According to the latest report, Apple will unveil the iPhone SE during the week of March 21.
