Galaxy S7

At this point, you’ve probably seen the teardown iFixit did of the Galaxy S7 and its slightly heftier (and curvier) sibling, the S7 edge — and, if you haven’t, the gist is that the two new phones aren’t very reparable. Not to be outdone, Samsung has posted its own teardown.

And while the company doesn’t comment on how difficult it is to repair the two phones, Samsung does provide several cool shots of the S7’s insides, some of which you can see throughout this post.

On the topic of the S7’s heat pipe, which has been the subject of some controversy since the iFixit teardown, Samsung says the component condenses vapour into liquid to help keep the entire device humming along.

Earlier today, some Canadians started to receive their S7 pre-orders ahead of schedule.
