Samsung Galaxy S5 starts receiving Marshmallow update in Canada

Telus’ software update scheduled was recently updated and revealed the S5 would see the long awaited Marshmallow update today. Well, it’s now available to download.

We’ve received several tips from Canadians across the country that informed us that Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is now available to Telus customers. The update is coming in at just over 819MB in size and brings Google Now on Tap, an upgraded app permissions manager, native support for fingerprint sensors and Marshmallow’s new Doze battery saving capabilities.
