Full Samsung S7 Active specs leak ahead of expected June launch

While there isn’t much hope that this phone will ever make its way north, the full specs of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active have been leaked by notable tipster Evan Blass of VentureBeat, revealing a rugged phone in gold and black variants that has relatively similar internal specs to the S7.

Blass reports that it is a AT&T exclusive, as was the S6 Active (which never came to Canada) and will likely launch on June 10th. For any Canadian Samsung enthusiasts that would like to indulge their angst, below is a look at everything we’ll supposedly be missing.

The S7 Active will be 9.9mm thick, over a millimeter thicker than the S6 Active. Its also 15 grams heavier, at 185 grams, likely due to a larger 4000mAh battery.

The screen is the same as the S7 and S6 Active: 1440 by 2560-pixels, Super AMOLED, 5.1-inch.

The phone also features a MicroSD slot, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and have a 12-megapixel camera with a dual-pixel sensor, the same as the regular S7.

This article will be updated when MobileSyrup receives more information following the launch.
