UberEats expands to Edmonton

Uber

UberEats, Uber’s on-demand food delivery service, has been available in Toronto for more than a year. The service also recently launched in Ottawa, and is now available in Edmonton, as well.

“Edmonton, we want you to be able to eat what you want, when you want,” stated Uber in its release.

The company will deliver food items in the purple highlighted area below from 10am to 10pm.

UberEats is a standalone app, separate from the company’s more well-known ride hailing app. The company promises to complete deliveries within the downtown core in 10 minutes or less. Similar to other cities, Uber has wrangled together 40 local restaurants, including El Cortez, MKT Fresh Food, Beer Market and Block 1912 Cafe, to deliver on-demand food to your door.

There is usually a delivery fee but Uber is waiving the cost for an unknown period of time.

The UberEats app is available on iOS and Android.
