PlayStation VR launching October 13 in Canada

PlayStation VR

Sony previously announced that PlayStation VR would be available to Canadians in October. Today, during its keynote presentation at E3, Sony shared that October 23rd is the launch date for the virtual reality headset in the United States. We have reached out to Sony Canada to see if this date holds true in Canada.

PlayStation VR went up for pre-order back in March and will retail for $549.99 CAD, or $399 USD, and includes the headset, cables, stereo headphones and a demo disk. The launch bundle, priced at $699.99 CAD, includes the VR headset, cables, stereo headphones, a demo disc, the PlayStation camera, two PlayStation Move motion controllers, and the PlayStation VR Worlds disc.

There will be over 50 games available at launch, such as Eagle Flight, EVE: Valkyrie, Headmaster, Rez Infinite, Wayward Sky, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, Tumble VR and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.

Some of the titles that were demoed at E3 were Crash Bandicoot, Star Wars Battlefront X-Wing VR Mission, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Lego Star Wars, and Batman: Arkham VR.

Update:
We have confirmed with Sony Canada that the PlayStation VR will launch in Canada on the same day as the United States, which is October 13th. “The release date is the same in Canada as in the US,” stated a Sony representative to MobileSyrup.
