Apple confirms Siri is coming to macOS Sierra at WWDC

Apple announced at its WWDC developer conference today that Siri is coming macOS, the new operating Mac-based operating system the tech giant also revealed today.

There has been a significant amount of speculation regarding whether Apple would finally bring its flagship AI software to Mac after introducing it on both the Apple TV and the Apple Watch.

Craig Federighi, vice-president of software engineering announced today that Apple’s latest Mac update, macOS Sierra, will see Siri arrive within the Finder app, located in the operating system’s dock at the bottom of the screen.

Federighi also revealed that Siri currently services 2 billion weekly requests. Cortana, Microsoft’s voice-activated assistant, has been available on Windows 10 for a number of months now, after being added to the operating system shortly after its launch.
