The LG Rolling Bot has officially opened for preorder in the U.S. and the U.K.

The anticipated but ambiguous LG rolling bot has officially been made available for pre-order, though it doesn’t come cheap.

The product was first introduced by LG at the Mobile World Congress 2016 without so much as a hint at the release date or potential price. However, the rolling bot is now open for purchase in the United States for $246.99 USD and in the United Kingdom for £229.

Rolling bot is part of LG’s G5 friends and accessories line, and comes with a camera, speaker and multicoloured laser.

The LG rolling bot allows users to monitor their home security and, as many outlets have remarked, terrorize their pets with a laser pointer. Furthermore, with the insertion of a MicroSD card, the device can play music and other recorded footage anywhere it rolls.

The product is supposedly available for preorder on MobileFun in the U.K. and the U.S., and MobileFun expects to have stock available on August 1st. Furthermore, the whole system is controllable from an app on your Android device.

We’ve reached out to LG to determine when it will be available in Canada. We’ll update this story when we receive a response.
