Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport gets outfitted with free Wi-Fi for all

Quick update for the 2.5 million people who fly out of Billy Bishop airport in Toronto: you’ll now be able to connect to the internet for free.

The complimentary connection is courtesy of American Express, which is the same financial services company that sponsors Pearson Airport. While it’s not technically free for all to use, there is a catch as Amex will be requiring travellers to watch a “comprehensive advertising and promotion strategy” to access the web.

“We’re excited to bring complimentary Wi-Fi to all Billy Bishop travellers. This newest sponsorship is yet another example of the traveller experience our brand aims to provide,” said David Barnes, vice president of advertising and communications at American Express Canada.

“Travel has always been a huge focus for our Company, and we’re passionate about delivering benefits that gives all travellers flying in and out of Toronto a taste of the elevated service we are known for.”
