Daydream View to launch in Canada on November 10

Daydream View

Daydream View, Google’s first truly dedicated virtual reality headset, will go on sale in Canada on November 10th, Google announced today.

Set to cost $99 here in Canada, the headset will be carried by Best Buy, Bell, Telus and Rogers — in addition to the online Google Store. If you happen to live abroad in the U.S., U.K., Australia and Germany, you’re in luck as well, as Daydream View will be available on November 10 in those countries as well.

At launch, the headset will only be available in ‘slate,’ with the ‘crimson’ and ‘snow’ colour variants coming at a later date.

You’ll need a Daydream-capable smartphone to use the headset. For the time being, that means Daydream View is only compatible with Google’s two new Pixel smartphones.
