Virgin Mobile’s home internet service expands to Quebec

In an event that brought the brand’s famous CEO Sir Richard Branson to town, Virgin Mobile has announced that its newly launched home internet service is expanding into Quebec after launching in Ontario in early July.

Just like in Ontario, the carrier is offering a 300GB and unlimited internet plan, both of which offer up to 25Mbps download speeds and 10Mbps upload speeds — which the carrier states allows for the download of a 500MB video in three minutes.

The plans are also the same price as they are in Ontario, which is surprising considering the usual price differential between Quebec and Ontario carrier service pricing.

The 300GB plan is currently $45 per month, while the unlimited plan is $60 per month, and both are charged solely on a month-to-month basis. Additionally, the carrier promises no installation fees.

Quebec customers who are interested in the service can check here for availability.
