HP Elite X3 Holiday Bundle gets deeper discount in Canada

HP Elite 3

Hot on the heels of the Microsoft Store’s Black Friday special on the HP Elite X3 Holiday Bundle, which dropped the price $1498, the package has seen an additional discount as we approach Cyber Monday. The current sale price is now $1349, a $530 savings.

The HP Elite X3 is a 3-in-1 that proposes to replace your smartphone, your desktop PC, and your laptop. With a Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 6″ screen, the Elite X3 is a powerful Continuum-focusesd Windows smartphone. Unlike previous Continuum phones that are entirely restricted to Windows Store apps, the HP Elite X3 also supports running Win32 applications through HP Workspace, HP’s subscription-based virtualized Windows application service. The Holiday Bundle includes a screen protector, case, and the HP Desk Dock that (when plugged into an external monitor) launches it into a Continuum experience to replace your desktop PC.

The most impressive part about this bundle is that it also includes the HP Lapdock, a Continuum-focused accessory that gives you a laptop-like experience powered by your smartphone. The Lapdock looks like a laptop, but has no logic internally, it’s just a shell that relies on an external device for its computing power.

The Lapdock includes:

  • nearly borderless 12.5″ FHD LED screen
  • full sized keyboard with backlit keys
  • large trackpad
  • Bang & Olufson stereo speakers
  • noise cancelling microphones
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • USB-C and HDMI ports
  • its own 46.5 WHr battery that powers the Lapdock, and charges a the Elite X3 (or other connected device)

The Lapdock is 13.8mm thick, weighs 2.3 pounds, and can be used with any Continuum-enabled Windows phone. Microsoft’s Canadian store notes the sale is on until November 28th, while supplies last.
