Many users of Microsoft services like Skype, OneDrive, Xbox and Outlook are experiencing issues accessing their accounts.

The complaints began around 8am E.T. and have been acknowledged by Microsoft on its Xbox Live Status page, which states: “We are aware that some members may be having problems signing in to Xbox Live. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we will be sure to provide you with frequent updates.”

Skype’s Heartbeat status page also bears an update: “We are currently working hard to resolve a problem, where users can not authenticate into Skype with their Microsoft accounts. We hope to restore the service as soon, as [sic] possible!”

It’s unclear what caused the issue, but several users have begun to report that it is fixed or at least that they were able to gain intermittent access by around 9:30am E.T. Many Canadians, including those weighing in on this outages forum, are still experiencing an issues, however.

MobileSyrup has reached out to Microsoft for comment and will update the story upon receipt.
