Diving full on with the USB-C game, accessory manufacturer Belkin has launched a new USB-C version of the DuraTek USB-C Kevlar Fiber Cable it initially released last year.

According to Belkin, unlike most USB-C cables, the Kevlar build of the DuraTek cord helps make it more durable and last longer. I briefly tested out the four 121cm (about 4-feet) version of the cord and while I can’t speak to its long-term durability, it certainly feels more solid than the average USB cable.

Belkin says that the cable is able to withstand over “5000 plus bends” and that it’s constructed of the same double-braided nylon Kevlar material as airline and aerospace components.

The cable is priced at $29.99 USD, which comes to approximately $46 CAD (final Canadian pricing hasn’t been revealed yet).

Along with the release of its new DuraTek USB-C Kevlar Cable, Belkin is also dropping a new Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB-C cable, priced at $65.99 CAD, as well as a USB-C Charger Kit with cable package, price at $39.99 CAD.

The included USB-C cable is able to unplug from the charging brick and the same goes for the cigarette lighter car adapter, with makes the package more useful for travel.
